    Making of Jafar/Personality:

  • The shapes used for Jafar were that of an hourglass and a T-shape.
  • One of the first sketches he was funny-looking, but that was changed so he wouldn't lose the fearful quality.
  • He is very cultured [Good vernacular] and very well-dressed.
  • Animator Andreas Deja saw him as a misunderstood kid that went to boarding school. [Which is why he is well-educated.]
  • He was drawn to resemble Maleficent.
  • He was first a loud explosive character and Iago was calm, but once the other characters were introduced it was decided it would be better to switch Iago and Jafar's personality and make Jafar the smooth, cool and slimy of the two.
