Ok I know there's always discussion as to whether Aladdin is a prince or not. My thought is that he married a princess
and as you recall in that manner is how Belle and Cinderella became princesses so Aladdin is a prince! Not that he
needs to be one to be totally awesome!

Making of Aladdin/Personality:
The animators didn't want a "typical" boring hero as in other movies, or the regular prince Charming.
At first he was made somewhat little so he really had something to fight against.
He was too childish so they had to make him older, otherwise it wouldn't be believable he could get princess Jasmine.
[Someone made a comparison: You can't put Michael J. Fox with Julia Roberts, you need Tom Cruise!
He was given a boyish charm, yet have him grow in the movie .
On the outside he is quite confident, but deep inside he's insecure.
Originally in the movie he has a mother, but was removed to make him more independent, self-made.
He started out as being 15, but ended up being 18.
The animators/directors didn't want to glamourize theft, but they also didn't want to make him too soft or good so the scene
where he gives the bread to the kids was added to show him as a Robin Hood with a good soul.
